JUST IN TIME FOR SPRING

Today we received a pair of Focal’s new outdoor “Stone” speakers. These are a very unique design and feature similar high quality components found in many of Focal’s high end indoor speakers. They are designed to blend into your landscape and withstand the harshest weather conditions. With a full-size 8-inch woofer and aluminum magnesium tweeter, they present a generous full-range, very easy to listen to presentation. They are available in three finishes: grey, sand and limestone.

We have them on display and like most Focal speakers they sound amazing. So if you are tired of weeding without good sounding music, stop in and have a listen. I can already tell you I’ll find a place for them in my garden.

Focal Vestia N°3 Speakers

Today we received and set up our first pair of Focal Vestia N°3 Speakers.

Vestia is Focal’s newest addition to their family of amazing speaker systems. “Vestia” was inspired by Vesta and Hestia – goddesses of the hearth and the home. The Vestia line so far offers 4 different models, including a center channel speaker. All are designed and built in their manufacturing facility in France and are offered in 3 finishes: gloss black, dark wood,and light wood (as pictured in these photos).

We will be breaking in these N°3’s over the weekend but I can already tell, having only played 2 music tracks, that Focal once again has hit a Home Run.

As usual they have a beautiful precise fit and finish, magnetic removable grills, all new leading edge driver and tweeter technologies; all adding up to an incredible value.

Hello Vestia

Say hello to Vestia, the new line of loudspeakers from Focal. The Vestia is the replacement for the popular Chora line. An improved ‘M’-shaped aluminum/magnesium tweeter provides a large soundstage with amazing detail. The tried and true Slatefiber cone gets an improved bass-flex port design allowing for better bass extension. Available finishes are Black High Gloss, Dark Wood, and Light Wood. Come in and listen to these impressive speakers now on display.

Low Profile, High Fidelity in Palm Desert

This week we finished this amazing sound system at one of our good customer’s winter home located in Rancho Mirage California. Our customer knows by now what it is like to own a true high end audio system as we have done several for him over the years. This home is a beautiful original mid century modern design.

We wanted to keep the sound system low profile visually yet have a stunning full lifelike presentation that makes one believe they are at a concert. The acoustics of this space presented a bit of a challenge. Lots of tile and glass. However because of today’s modern technology we are able to accomplish all these goals. Adam installed our best Focal In-wall speakers along with JL Audio’s finest low-profile subwoofers next to the rear couch, located under side tables. We used our Nordost Heimdall 2 cabling to make sure no detail got lost in the translation between the speakers and amplifier. His preamp amplifier is from our Danish friends Lyngdorf. We employed their new TDAI 3400.

With it’s amazing “room perfect” digital acoustic room correction technology and built in high resolution streaming ability, our good friend and client can now come home from a hard day of golf and within seconds be enjoying a concert from whatever artist he chooses.

Needless to say… Life is good.

I spoke with my client over the phone after Adam had finished programming and auditioning his new system for him. He was so excited and happy he wouldn’t let me off the phone.

So life is good for us too.
