Customer Testimonial
My wife Phyllis and I would like to present our testimony about the wonderful, highly professional relationship and service you have given us almost every year since 1993, a period of 14 years. Back in 1993 we owned a pretty good sound system, at least we thought. We had Infinity RS1B speakers, with it’s four huge towers, and all Nakamachi electronics, including dual stereo amplifiers. One day I wandered into Nuts and asked what I would need to do to get surround sound for my system, since I did not have a normal receiver. A knowledgeable audio expert showed me how simple it was with a Rotel surround sound processor and 6 channel amp. Nuts technicians came to our house and installed this system, along with in-wall rear surround speakers. In 1994 we added a Mirage center channel speaker for a new 35 inch Television.
I first met Jim Lee when I was looking for a connector at Nuts. That evening in 1995 he lugged a Krell KSA 300S stereo amplifier to our house to demonstrate the improvement from our Nakamachi amplifiers. We couldn’t believe we’d write out a check for over ten thousand dollars that night, but we gladly did. Our sound really improved! Later that year we had Nuts install a sound system in our motor home. The following year (96) we replaced the Rotel with an Angstrom surround processor, which really improved movie sound. Somewhere in here we replaced our CD player with an Acurus and a Theta TLC jitter device. In 2001 plasma televisions were first hitting the market place and I wanted one badly. The only one in town, a Sony 42”, was at Nuts of course, and we now got rid of the huge black box in our living room. 2002 brought new speakers to replace the Infinities. Jim called me and said if I bought a check down to the shop immediately I could purchase his personal Wilson Watt/Puppy 5.1 speakers, as he wanted to upgrade to the new series 7.
We never thought we could afford such good speakers, but Jim found a way. Jim then called the Theta Digital factory so we could add a discounted Theta Casa Nova surround processor to make the Watt/Puppies sing. We were thrilled to say the least! In 2003 we replaced our tiny rear surround speakers with POSH and added a small PSB sub-whoofer. Last year (06) Jim demonstrated to us in the shop the improvement in movie sound with the Aydyssey Sound Equalizer. Jim came to our house and spent hours with a microphone measuring each listening seat in our living room to adjust our sound system to our room acoustics with this equalizer. This year saw the retirement of Bill Benson and Jim opening his new store. Just in the month he has been open Jim has installed a Riga turntable, an APC Power Conditioner and replaced the PBS sub-woofer with the new, magnificent, JL Audio Fathom. Throughout this long history of continuous audio service, we need to emphasize that Jim Lee has personally installed every component in our home, spending countless hours of his own time carefully positioning speakers, swapping cables, and making sure every new component was optimal in our room.
There is no personal service like this at Best Buy or any other store, that’s for sure! Phyllis and I would like to thank you, Jim, for all these years of your personal, professional service. You stated way back that we would be Nuts customers for life, and this letter shows how one customer IS your’s for life!
